We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an engineering background and
hands-on mentality to work as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer for the development and
implementation of manufacturing methods and controls of electro-mechanical systems for
3D printers, including custom toolheads.

Job’s profile:

• Hands-on operation of AM systems, troubleshooting and process optimization
• Develop Design for AM (DfAM) methodologies using standard commercial
• Employ motion planning and computational design algorithms for custom toolpath
• Apply computational and experimental skills to develop custom additive
manufacturing equipment and processes
• Perform simulation and design analysis (e.g., FEA, CFD), testing and verification
• Integration and testing of critical additive manufacturing sub-systems, including
lasers, optics, and on-machine monitoring and instrumentation
• Remain up-to-date regarding materials, machines, configurations, applications and
manufacturing processes to meet functionality requirements
• Participate in projects, assist in day-to-day technical implementation activities,
reporting and attend project meetings
• Maintain excellent file handling and organization skills
• Open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility.

Basic qualifications:

• Engineering background, such as Mechanical Engineering with advanced
knowledge in CAM/CAE
• Hands-on experience in machining, conventional methods and assembly
• Proficient hand-on experience with AM processes
• Experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, MATLAB
• Experience in microcontroller programming (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• MSc Degree or Advanced Studies in Engineering and Robotics
• Project management and reporting previous experience
• Ability to perform design of experiment (DOE) on process parameter development
• Experience in topology optimization of 3D printed parts
