Vaia is an M.Sc. Computational Designer, specialised in bio-inspired integrative design approaches that correlate parametric design with material-efficient, large-scale robotic fabrication in architecture. She holds a B.A. in Interior Architecture, Applied Arts & Product Design from the former Technological Educational Institute of Athens, and a M.Sc. in Integrative Technologies & Architectural Design Research from the University of Stuttgart. She has hands-on experience in experimental academic research based on full scale prototyping, and various additive manufacturing methodologies, ranging from coreless filament winding techniques to granular material systems. Her current research interests include Hybrid Additive Manufacturing methodologies and Functional Material Systems for interior architectural applications.
