Anna Karatza holds a Diploma in Materials Engineering from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina with MSc in Material science and technology coordinated by the school of Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. She is expertise with functional polymer synthesis and characterization including star copolymers as candidates for water waste purification, self-assembly amphiphilic block copolymers for drug release application, polymeric super absorbent nano-spheres, experienced with a range of polymerization reactions for applied research, as well as advanced/functional materials development for additive manufacturing technologies applied in medical and industrial applications. Her research work is documented in article publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has 6 years involvement in proposal writing, technical implementation and management of EU research funded projects (H2020 and Horizon Europe) related to advanced material development and employment in additive manufacturing of functional demonstrators with enhanced properties.
